What is Eyes?
Eyes is a drama on ABC about private investigators at Judd Risk Management. It was a midseason replacement for the 2004-05 season during that time it aired at 10PM(ET) on Wednesday nights.

Why does it need saving?
The pilot for Eyes was filmed back in early 2004 and in the spring of 2005 Eyes became a midseason replacement for a show that didn’t fail, Wife Swap. Eyes was placed against two ratings juggernauts (The franchise kings) CSI: NY and Law and Order. Additionally, Eyes hasn’t received much promotion or marketing despite being a great addition to the ABC line-up.

Has Eyes been cancelled?
Updated 05/15/05: Eyes will not be on ABC's fall schedule when it is announced on Tuesday, 05/17. This information has been confirmed by sources at Warner Bros. TV. Even so, this doesn't mean our work here is done. Stay tuned to this site for more info as it comes in.

I tried to sign the petitions, but I couldn't get it do work. What do I do?
You keep trying! The petitions does work, but there might be a problem with your browser, or your firewall. Ask someone you know who is more computer saavy to help you out.

Why are you cancelling Eyes? What is wrong with you?
Uh. We're not. That's ABC who made the decision not to give Eyes another season or the chance to be found by the audience. I think you meant to send your e-mail to ABC Audience Relations: netaudr@abc.com and abc.audience.relations@abc.com.
Make sure you send it to the right place! Let ABC know how you really feel.

Is it just me or was the season really short?
There were a total of 13 episodes (12 episodes plus the pilot) filmed of Eyes. ABC agreed to air 8, then ABC decided to mess with their schedule and use Eyes‘ time slot for a PrimeTime Live Special about American Idol. This is why the season seems so wonky with missing storylines and rapid progression. Rumor has it that ABC will air their remaining episodes over the summer of 2005. We may or may not be the ones spreading that rumor.

What are the shows that ABC is airing instead of Eyes? Are they doing well ratings-wise?
ABC aired an expose on FOX's American Idol that did quite well, increasing on the ratings of its lead-in Alias. More recently, ABC aired an episode SuperNanny which received lower ratings than what Eyes generally received in the same slot, even with ABC providing Super-promotion.

Show FAQ

Harlan is hot. Who is he? He looks familiar.
Harlan Judd is played by Tim Daly who is probably best known for his stint as Joe Hackett on Wings. Soon, you will be able to find out more about him (and the rest of the stellar cast) on the cast page.

Are Harlan and Nora/Meg/Leslie dating?
Right now Harlan is single, but “In an alternate universe where Harlan’s not an amoral, opportunistic, greedy bastard, Leslie is his girlfriend”. We know Harlan is interested in Leslie, but right now he’s married to Kendall, his mostly off-screen (soon to be ex-) wife.

Is Nora really a traitor? Who is Clay Burgess?
Clay Burgess is Harlan’s former boss and he wants to buy JRM. As for Nora, we’re being led to believe she is a traitor, but Eyes is full of twists and we don’t know the real story yet. She has mentioned to Jeff that Clay Burgess can make families disappear meaning she might be in trouble.

Shouldn’t Jeff be dead?
Perhaps. Jeff McCann was originally only in the pilot, the actor, Eric Mabius, was one of the last additions to the regular cast. It can be surmised that he was originally killed off in the pilot, but TPTB liked him so much that they brought him back with a shot off an ear.

Where did Danny Agermeyer (Trish’s husband) go?
Danny was a Senior Analyst and he bugged his wife’s car. At the end of the pilot he discovered that Trish was having an affair with Jeff and he disappeared. He told Harlan that he has no plans to return. Originally Reg Rogers, the actor, was listed as a regular. It is possible that the writers decided to keep Jeff and forsake Danny.

On the screen each week they all have titles. What do they say? I wasn’t paying attention
Harlan Judd - Senior Investigator
Nora Gage - Primary Investigator
Chris Didion - Primary Investigator
Jeff McCann - Lead Investigator
Meg Bardo - Associate Investigator
Trish Agermeyer - Surveillance Technician
Tim Smits - Assistant Analyst
Leslie Town - Attorney

Well the difference is of course in rank. That’s the easy answer

Is Chris gay?
Yes, not only is Chris gay, but he had a mental breakdown a few months ago and he used to be in the FBI. He’s like the anti-stereotype.

Did I hear Nora speaking French
Garcelle Beavais-Nilon is fluent in French and apparently so is Nora Gage.

Is A.J. Langer really royalty?
Kind of, she‘s English nobility now. A.J. married the future Earl of Devon, Charles Courtenay. This makes her Lady Courtenay and in time she could become Countess Courtenay.
The hierarchy of English royalty and nobility:
King - Queen
Prince - Princess
____________________________________
Duke - Duchess
Marques - Marchioness
Earl - Countess
Viscount - Viscountess
Baron - Baroness

What are the chances of a DVD release?
We don’t know, but a fresh, smart, well-written show like Eyes deserves to be watched over and over until lines like “I’ve seen better acting from a sock puppet” become part of your everyday life.
